Chassis Painting
Chassis arrived covered in surface rust (due to rain on the journey home). It was placed on its build stands and rubbed down to a clean metal finish.
Chassis Floor
Alu floor is made from 2mm think Alu, the chassis was placed on the sheet and a line was drawn round the base of the chassis, it was then cut out using a sheer, also marked were all chassis rails for pre-drilling for rivets.
Chassis all drilled and waiting on floor to be bonded and riveted to it
Chassis sitting upside down with drilled floor in place. I used this to mark the chassis out for rivet holes.
Rivets all ready for them to be pulled into place. Before the Alu plate was placed on the chassis stikoflex sealler was applied to all bars to add strenght and also make the chassis floor water tight.
