Mini Arrives
Car arrives at the work shop. The car has to be stripped and rebuilt as a rally car, the owner also wants the cars colour changed.
Shell Stripped
First job was to remove the previous owners graphics.
Graphics removed, but some of the paint came off during removel of the graphics.
Under the bonnet is a real mess, its painted in a heavy white paint, and the weber box os poor alu effort, rough!
Car stripped for work to begin, the shell is being left rolling at the minute.
Bulk head / Weber Box
New fabricated weber box tacked into place. Bulk head a rubbed down to metal.
New steel weber box solid welded in place, a few holes still to patch.
There was several large holes in the bulk head, these were very rough, so the pic shows them welded up waiting on some filler to finish them off.
Engine steady bar bracket, welded top and bottom for extra strenght.
Rear Pockets / Back Seat Removal
The rear pockets, and a section of the rear seat need to be removed to allow the seats to be mounted futhur back.
Rear seat removed, and both rear pockets, just need to dress the areas around them up now.
